Ciel Power, Home Energy Assessment
Dear Madison Resident:
Madison Borough has recently launched a borough-wide campaign to promote energy efficiency and help residents of Madison reduce home energy use through an energy assessment program. The Madison Home Energy Insight Program was established as a way to promote awareness of practical resources available to Madison residents to help save energy and money while bringing Madison closer to achieving our goal of a sustainable Madison by lowering our carbon footprint.
This program is based on a model designed by Sustainable Jersey to encourage participation in the NJ Home Performance with Energy Star (HPwES) Program, which can help homeowners qualify for up to $4,000 in cash rebates and up to $10,000 in zero-interest financing for home energy improvements that reduce energy use by up to 30 percent. To encourage Madison residents to participate in the HPwES Program, the Madison Home Energy Insight Program is offering a $49 home energy assessment. The Borough of Madison has selected Ciel Power LLC to perform these assessments. After performing a home energy assessment, Ciel Power LLC will recommend possible home improvements to reduce energy use, and homeowners may qualify for the HPwES Program incentives.
Assessments include a comprehensive evaluation of each home’s current energy use and recommendations for improving energy efficiency in a cost-effective way. The Borough of Madison is not recommending any specific contractor to provide the improvements, nor is it guaranteeing that homeowners will automatically qualify for the cash rebates or financing.
